Hello calshubby
Welcome to PC Help Forum Are we talking about some plug in type USB stick with a couple of GB's on it for example or an external hard drive?

Yes, it's just a normal plug in USB Flash drive.

I really hate words like Flash drive, Pen drive etc they are so ambiguous.
It's something you can carry around in your top pocket then yes? If so, did you click on Safely Remove Hardware in the system tray before removing it?

Sorry about the terminology. But yes It is something that you can carry about in your top/shirt pocket.
No I didn't click on Safely Remove Hardware. But there again I have never done this and it has only just begun to disconnect me. If clicking on SRH is the answer, then thanks, but I won't try it until I shut down as I will lose this thread. |

Once you shut down calshubby it won't matter as the system is off obviously.
To find your posts at any time simply click on "Quick Links" in the blue bar at the top and hit "Subscribed Threads" in the drop down that appears.
