Some time ago i switched from Windows XP media centre edition to Vista 64 bit. The tv tuner in media centre worked fine in XP but since i have upgraded i get a message saying there is no tuner hardware detected.

Device Manager shows:

Hauppage WinTV 88x Audio Capture
Hauppage WinTV 88x Crossbar
Hauppage WinTV 88x TS Capture (94xxx)
Hauppage WinTV 88x Tuner
Hauppage WinTV 88x Video (DVB-T)

All these devices seem to be working fine and the drivers are up to date (i think - the driver date is february 2009).

Is it likely that my tv tuner is incompatible with Vista, this is the only explanation i can think of.

It is definitely not compatible, I know, because I have a similar issue:

Vista 64bit does not support my TV Tuner (Pinnacle 110i), and Media Center does not support my PCIe Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-1250.

I know that WinTV HVR-2200 PCI-e Dual supports 64bit Media Center, but -unfortunately is 139€ in the Netherlands...
