Default Computer not fully starting up

Hello

My computer recently froze as i was using it and is now refusing to start up fully. Specs are M2N-E ASUS mother board, corsair vx 550w psu, 4g ram, Geforce gtx 260, 160g 7200rpm HD.

When i press the power button all the case fans turn on, also the fan from my CPU cooler turns on, as well as the hardrive, the graphics card and cd rom both do not start up. Also there is no beeping.

My thoughts were that the power supply is dead? But i would like to see what else it can be

Any other help or thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

Thank You

Thanks for the article and for opening the thread,

I saw that the article said after the POST start up that it will display error messages or predefined Beep Error Codes, but the monitor does not come on and there are no beeps or sounds,

So is my PSU not sending out a POWER GOOD signal? If it is not is it still possible for all the fans and hardrive to turn on?

On many systems, symptoms as those you describe are associated with defective mainboard or cpu.

If you can find a compatible mainboard, you can start verifying the functionality of your hardware.
