Hello Mark. I would check for an updated driver for your webcam on Asus's support site here: ASUSTeK Computer Inc.-Support-
Make sure you are also using the authentic SP2 with the number "6001.18000.080118-1840" in it's file name for the 'ISO" number, or the upgrade redistributal directly from MS's download/update websites. I've installed the SP on a number of systems, both laptop and system towers with no problems so far. *JM* |

Thanks for the quick response JM. I have tried to update the driver through MS and also through the ASUSTeK Computer Inc.-Support- website but it says i have the most up to date driver.
What is SP/SP2 and the ISO number? Sorry i am a bit of a novis! The only number i can find is 0000.001d.0007.005.000.000.000.000.000 which i found through the device manager folders. Any other suggestions would be most welcome? Cheers, Mark |

That's OK Mark. Try this: go to the details tab under there, and give us your device instance ID or the hardware IDs so that'll give us what driver information is there.

Hi JM,
Sorry about the late reply I was busy all weekend. I have went into the device manager folder and selected imaging devices. The driver details for the webcam are below: Driver Provider: Sonix Driver Date: 01/04/2008 Driver Version: 61.5.200.120 I hope this information can help me to solve the problem. Regards, Mark |
