Hello Sam and Welcome back!
Would you prefer to $ a TV Tuner for your PC or software-based? They both have their goods and their bads. *JM* |

I'll leave this up to the Techs here. I'll mark this thread as "Open" so it will get more attention from our Techs. Thanks for your patience.

hi samir_ali , there are a couple of options you can choose ,
you can either have an internal pci card tuner or an external usb receiver , either way you will need to get a signal from your existing digital/cable tv provider , basically all this means is that you need to run a coaxial cable from your tv set top box to the new card or usb receiver , which ever you decide to purchase another option is to have an external digital antenna fitted and run the cable from there to your pc ( you may need a freeview box ) to get a signal this way .. take a look at this site for a tv tuner card or an external usb receiver Hauppauge Computer Works Ltd : Products BBJ

i personally use the usb stick and it works fine, it is also a little cheaper than the internal card , Hauppauge Computer Works Ltd : WinTV-NOVA-TD Stick
