I purchased my Compaq Presario desktop in 2006. Today, it won't boot.
It will turn on and show the Compaq logo screen on the bios. After a second or two, the image messes up and sort of 'repeats' all the way up and down the screen. Nothing else happens. Upon rebooting, the monitor does not recieve a signal at all. If I let it sit off for a while, and then turn it on, the whole process repeats. It does not even get to the windows startup screen.
Some other info:
- The power supply was just replaced. This happens with both the old and new power supply.
- The VGA port seems to be intact, and the logo screen appears perfectly at first.
- I don't hear any beeps when it starts booting.
- Everything is connected correctly. I know how to do that.
- I'm using the onboard integrated graphics.
