If Dell got the correct drivers for your system, it would be fine to use those.

I'm not sure I understand about the backup. You begin by saying that you were able to restore it, but then say it wouldn't recognize the 2nd part. How was it split to go across both flash drives?

When I ran the backup utility in Windows and it filled up one flash drive, it told me to install another flash drive for it to finish the backup. That is how I got one backup across two drives. I used the same Windows utility to restore the backup, but it never asked for the second drive. I then tried to restore the backup on the second drive as a standalong process, but it wouldn't work.
Don't let me keep you from work. I didn't get much sleep last night and I could use some rest. How about letting me know about when you will be back on, and we can just wait until then?

Actually, I'm OK. I'm downloading IE8 and will continue to download software until I'm back where I want to be. So I just need help on getting thr saved backup restored.

Are you certain that you used Windows Backup for your USB backup? I'm not locating information about Windows Backup being able to span USB drives.
