That is a good sign.

However as JM and myself sugested it could be the hot weather causing part of the issue.

But I would look to replace the fan on the graphics card or replace the card itself.

I would also look into replacing the hard drive.

Though the GPU is running on the warm side, for my money I say 70C is not causing his system to shut down. My 8600 GTS SSC (though not much for gaming) reaches 80+C with the fan @ 100% when stressed with 3DMark06 and never falters. If I remember correctly, the 8800 and 9800 run hot too.

I do have a new 9800GT with a Zalman cooler (factory install) and it Idles @ 45C and never gets above 60C stressed. My GTX 260 Idles @ 53C and rises to ~ 72C with 3DMark06.

Could my PSU be bad? I dont feel like buying a bunch of new hardware just because my GPU is overheating :\
