For a little over a year now my USB ports haven't been working properly.
I can plug in devices, and I know power is supplied, but no data exchange can take place.
The computer doesn't even recognize anything is plugged in. (Example: may plug in an iPod. It will charge, but not show up at in anything.)
I've made sure power is going to the ports, and according to the computer everything is fine, no issues detected.
Have tried rolling back and updating drivers as well, but with no effect.
Any help/advice you can offer is much appreciated!

Welcome to the PC help community. You will find our friendly members and tech's will assist you with your troubles however we will need to answer some questions first to help the more experience techs out. Go into device manager make sure there are no yellow exclamation marks or red warning signs next to any devices. Also did you build this computer yourself or buy it from a store.

Sorry, I knew I would leave some things out.
Had said nothing was wrong in the Device Manager, but just re-checked, still says the same. Also have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but to no avail. I wonder if it might be an inssue with the motherboard or something? |

some of the usb devices you plug in require drivers to run, also check your group policies and see if they are disabled
