Default USB Pen Drive

Ok so I have an 8 gigabyte USB Pen drive that I got through newegg.com about a year ago as a combo package with my corsair power supply. I used it last night everything was good I was transferring files on and off of it to get ready for today to come to the library and upload some things. I shut off my computer left the pen drive in if that is at all important. I woke up this morning turned on my computer and pen drive is blank I try to open pen drive it says that there is no disk on drive G:/ which is my pen drive. I right click and go to properties and it says unknown file system there is no free or used space. Does anyone know what happened? If I uninstall usb driver on the computer and plug it in then it goes through the normal routine of install usb drivers and it will show up as a removable disk but there is nothing on it? Help please!

Thanks ummm well because I do not have internet on my computer that it happened on I don't have a way to get the system specs at this time. However I do know that it happens on every computer I plug it into. It's like it was all just deleted so I hope that helps shed some light.

you could try this tool to recover the data , Download Recover-Data-Pen-Drive.exe Free trial
i tested it on my own pen drive to see if it worked and it seems to be working fine

when you right click on the drive are you able to format it ?if so you should try formatting it to see if that will allow you to open it properly , try looking in the device manager also to see if the device is listed there , if it has a yellow ! then try rolling back the driver or updating it ,to get to device manager right click "mycomputer" and select properties then hardware then device manager (xp) vista type device in the run box and select device manager on the list

yeah I've tried reformatting it ibut it gives me same error that there is no disk in drive G:/. It is listed in the device manager with no blips or signals I try to uninstall rollback all of the above and nothing. I pulled up disk management and it even shows up in there however only gives me properties option.
