about 3 motnhs ago i bougt a cheap no brand webcam off of here and installed the driver on my windows xp.

it worked fine then. but i just got a vista. and now i can instlal the drivers successfully .... but when i plug in the webcam, it fails.

Hello there,I done a quick search and cannot find the driver at the moment.

However I read your link do you have the install disk at hand?

Also try an update of the USB driver via device manager.

Plug in the cam then in device manager right click and choose update driver,often some webcams do not need a seprate driver they are generic and plug and play.

Also the issue may not be the driver but you need to install the software that goes with the cam to make it work.
