Going to try a cheaper way. Just ordered a USB to ps2 adapter from Newegg. If it is a malfunction in the motherboard this should tell me (I hope).
I had not installed anything new prior to the keyboard starting to malfunction, only one since. What confuses me is that it is not happening with any consistency. Last night I left the computer running and this morning no keyboard till reboot.
It will be several day until I have the adapter, I thought I already had one but it was a PS2 to USB. I will re post if I need additional help after trying the adapter.
