Tech Support: Crush had referred me in previous assistance to DriverAgent as a source for driver updates, see:
http://www.pchelpforum.com/fixed-hij...tml#post362247

I ran the scan and had recommendations for updates. In attempting to do one of the the updates for the "Utility driver" I was unable to complete the update as it indicated the the driver update "does not support this model." DriverAgent recommends alternate drivers but I am uncertain which one to use.

Can some one assist me on this?

Hi Mitch,

You can get generic drivers for the ACPI Utility, but you should probably download the correct one from your motherboard manufacturers website, if they have an updated one.

Please complete your system specs or post back with the make and model of your motherboard so we can check this for you.

Please let us know when you have updated this information or you need any with help it.

Diire:

Thanks...
Here are some the specs:

Asus Motherboard P5LD2-VM <Green> Version 0901 Socket 775
Intel Pentium D Processor 945 800 MHz FSB 3.4 GHz 2x2

I've had trouble getting access to the Asus to get updates…seems to be a very difficult site to manage through.

Hi Mitch - thanks for that.

Asus do have an updated ACPI driver available for your motherboard.

The easiest way to find drivers for an Asus motherboard is to do a yahoo or google search for the model number. Usually the first link you get will go directly to that models page. In the link below if you click Downloads and select your operating system, it will list all the available drivers.

Click Utilities and you'll see the ACPI update. It's the 5th one in the list.

ASUSTeK Computer Inc.

Also I noticed in your screenshot above that you have Regcure. Regcure is not a very good program and it actually stuffs more pc's than it fixes. I've had to fix around 5pc's over the years that had corrupt registries because of Regcure.

Registry Mechanic or CCleaner are much better options.
