hello, my only good pc stopped working a while ago, and i bought new hardware for it, so basically just got a new pc with the old case.

when i try to turn the it on, i have to try several times to get to the setup screen, and 90% of the time, it will just go to a black screen.
when it does start up, all of the fans turn on, and spin very fast.

if anyone knows why this is happening i would be greatly appreciative.

OK, I wouldn't dare but the best bet is to take it all out and start again. It's obvious that there is something not right but the hard part is isolating what. I'm no techy but see what you can take out so you can run it as a minimal set up. e.g have you installed a video card? have you got more than 1 stick of RAM? etc. Does the MOBO have an indicator light on it?
You will have to give a little more detail and say what you have fitted and what you have done to try getting it working.

Are you trying to run on the installation of windows from the old computer?
