Usually this is a sign of a component overheating (CPU Heatsink/Fan failing or not properly installed, Defective HDD)
Define "new" PC: Did you build it? Is the HDD Brand new? Do you get any BSODs or errors?

Hello NeoTest and welcome.
Alright now first lets clarify something. I'm a bit confused by your hard drive reference. Am I to understand that you installed one that already has XP on it and you want it to work? If so you will have problems because there will still be drivers and things from the previous motherboard which would have to be removed and then the ones for the new board installed. The only way around that is to use the exact same make of board. Also I feel that a 350Watt PSU is a bit skimpy these days especially with a graphics card such as that. If you have it definitely try the 500Watt PSU.

As LoneWolf stated, the BSOD is from different drivers, and is to be expected.
But it looks to me from your response, that the system was on a loop rebooting, and so,by inference- did not shut down. Are you sure that the original HDD is OK? 160GB looks a bit old, Go to ASTRA - Advanced Sysinfo Tool - Free Download and download the free program SMARTUDM - HDD S.M.A.R.T. Viewer. Put it on a bootable floppy (or USB) and run it. Post your report(generate it by pressing R at the end) here.
