So here is the case where an easy project has turned into a complete nightmare.
I wanted to upgrade to two video cards using SLI. so i went and purchased two new 9800GTX+ then alas they would not fit in my case so i bought a new case and my power supply need a little boost so i bought a new PS. well the PS i bought did not have enough connections and the computer wouldnt boot, i troubleshooted the best i could, got frustrated thinking it was the CPU so i went and bought a new CPU and MB, now im still experiencing a turn off during boot.
Here are my Specs of wat im working with
Cooler Master FullSize Case 4 Large Case Fans
Corsair 750watt Power Supply
Asus p5N-D Motherboard
4 1 gig corsair DDR2 PC 6400 ram sticks
Lite-On BluRay burner/player
tring to use TWO xfx 9800GTX+ cards (tried using only one pc still does not boot)
Here is what i have tried so far :
1- move/lessen the amount of RAM sticks
2- took out one graphics card
3- tried one graphics card and even a different Power Supply
4- thermal gel is just right
5- cpu heatsink seems to be on tight enough
I dont know what is wrong or what im forgetting. and i have a very hard time believing that two MB by different Manf. went bad so im thinking i have done something wrong?
the old MB worked lastnight with ONE of the new cards ALL of the memory and the HD and BD drive, and the first Powersupply that i bought incorrectly yesterday.
thanks for any help

If you think you're the only one that has messed up a system -think again.
That's how we learn, don't be embarrassed, just DON'T DO THE SAME THING TWICE
