Hi,
I'm having exactly the same problem as VinylJunkie had with his Packard Bell Imedia 1559 - it doesn't give anything at the BIOS screen and it just clicks away. Tried removing HDD and DVD drive - still think it's something to do with the BIOS/Motherboard.
Any ideas?
Cheers,
Hendo

Hello hendo and welcome to PCHF.
Did you try removing the BIOS battery and power for a couple of minutes, then replacing them and testing?

Hi there. I've just had this problem with my brother in law's Imedia 1559. Tried going through the HP diagnosis tool on line... and it broke! Lol!
Anyway the problem was fixed by removing the graphics card and using the onboard graphics. 1. Remove AGP card (need to pull a pin out at the end of the AGP slot to release) 2. Connect monitor to onboard VGA out 3. Install drivers (RIO_video.exe) Hope this helps Jim'll |
