Default Card Reader Issues

Hello, I am having difficulty viewing the pictures that are on a memory card. I have a little silver card reader and a device that i slide my small memory card into that fits into the card reader. A green light comes on the little silver card reader to let me know that it is connected to my computer. In the past whenever i connected this device, options would pop up letting me choose to view the pictures on the memory card. Now when i connect it however, nothing happens. I need help .. i have christmas pictures of my family that i need to get off this memory card so i can make my christmas cards. Please and thank you.

Can you post the make and model of your card reader, the device which you took the pictures with, and your computer?

Your card reader could possibly do with a driver update. However I need the above information before I can take you through the driver install. Awaiting your reply.

Regards,
Crush

"Secure Digital" card reader Model No. CR-V7-UD
The card itself is a SanDisk 256MB MicroSD

My computer's specs are as follows:
Amd Sempron Processor 3000+
1.81 GHz, 1 gig of ddr ram

Nvidia Geforce 6200 video card
using the on board sound card

I would like to be able to tell you what they were taken on but i can't get ahold of the photographer

Perfect. That's all the information I need.

I am currently in the process of trying to find a driver for you. It's proving to be harder than I thought. I'm headed to bed now seeing as I have class in the morning. I will update this thread as soon as I can get on tomorrow

Just to check, you're sure all the connections to your device are good? Including the little tabs in the card adapter. Those little MicroSD's can be a little touchy.
If they are...
You should be able to see the device in My Computer and open it from there. Windows Explorer works too.

Crush's idea is a good one. Always need the drivers to be up-to-date

A thought.
