can wireless router stop

I am trying my best to help a friend out with her computer . The problem started three weeks ago . She has a wirelsee router , wireless mouse, and keyboard and wireless printer. The problem seems that nothing will work.
I was going to run a memtest to see what she had in memory but the disk will not load. I tried F12 at restart dose not work. It seems the router takes over and allows nothing to work.
I told her that I would be back today with a keyboard to plug in to her computer, and a mouse to see if that overrides the router.
Everything worked fine three weeks ago before her router stop so her ISP replaced it with this new one . And now all she can do is go online . She is using DSL. The printer will not work the mouse works when it wonts to and the keyboard only work from time to time if it feel like it.

This is why I don't have DSL.

Hi again,

Is the router USB? If yes, then it can't effect the boot as the USB drivers for it aren't loaded at that stage. Did you try disconnecting the router and trying the memtest floppy again?

Does the router have an ethernet port?

Thanks for the information Hengis .
I was down to her place and found that nothing is now working. She called her ISP and they said that they had problems with the router that she has . Today they are to replace it. The problem is anyone can get tapped in to you line and change the password. Will go back down today and see if I can run the memtest.
