Default Problem with Headphone Jack

Hey guys, looking for some talented computer folks
to help me. And I appreciate it.

Situation: I have a Compaq Presario PC SR5030NX,
with Windows Vista Basic, 2006. I have a Creative
Speaker system that I thoroughly enjoy. And Realtek
Audio. What busted my balls recently was that I
plugged my headphones into the front jack of the
PC, and now, no matter what I
do, the Speaker system is no longer working, but the
headphones continue to work.

There is no question mark on the Sound Card icon, and
so the Sound Card is enabled. I checked volume too.

My question: how do I re-enable my speakers to work,
so that I don't have to rely on my headphones.

Thanks, folks.

Hello and welcome to PCHelpForum.

I have noticed you have asked for the exact same help on another forum.

Do you wish to remain with them or here as two sets of help can cause conflict on what you actualy try.

Can I do both? I don't mind gathering all the information
available, and then making a decision.
