As said in the title my problem is the computer crashes randomly when running any 3d app, sometimes it takes hours other times meirly secconds.
Technicly the computers still running as sound ect is still being sent through the speekers, witch leads me to think its the graphics card malfunctioning, howeevr this card worked fine within the last computer it was in, leading me to beleve its a conflict possibly with the motherbored.
This problem happens running both XP and Vista.
Current specs of the computer:
OS: Windows Vista Business 32-bit
Prosesser: AMD Athlon 64 x2 Dual Core 5600+ (2.80GHz)
Motherbored: Asrock K7 (cant remember the model other than K7)
Ram: 2gig
HDD: 2 Hard disks 1 250gig the other 150gig.
Graphics: Gigabyte Geforce 8600 GTS - NX86 (PCI-E)
if anyone has hurd of this occouriung before or knows how to sold this (without replacing the GFX Card) please let me know thanks.

Have you tried updating the graphics card driver?

problem solved.
for some reason any 3d app was over clocking the graphics card to the limit causing it to disable itself to stop any damage, by using an overclocking utility tool i was able to limit and lock the clock speed no incidents since. |
