Default USB problem - new devices not working.

Some time ago my computer got a virus. Took a while to fix it, but after we did, any new usb devices we bought and plugged into the computer didn't work. All previous devices that were installed before the virus work fine. Is there any way to fix this?

try updating your driver in Device Manager. If that doesn't work roll it back twice. Once to roll it back to the original and once to roll it back to the configuration before that (i.e. before your virus)

Will the roll back cause my computer to lose any programs or hardware already on it?

Hello, download your chipset update from your computer manufacturers website as this contains your USB driver updates.

Go to device manager after downloading the chipset and update all USB devices listed see if that works.

If still not working uninstall the actual USB devices listed not the drivers and reboot your machine, let found new hardware wizard reinstall the USB devices.

Let me know how that goes.

Thankyou.

JB.
