Default in built Wireless card not working

I have an advent laptop model; 7082.

It has recently develpoed a fault with the charging and when I tried to repair the pin I fried the motherboard.

As a result I bought a spare/repair one off ebay to replace it with mine (the spare/repair one had a smashed screen). I have now swapped the motherboard for mine and all works very well except the wireless internet.
There is a button next to the power socket you should press to turn it on, When I try this nothing happens.
It has installed Raylink Wireless LAN card but when I hover over it states, "Raylink Wireless LAN card, Not exist"

I have tried re-installing this and also going into device manager but nothing there for the card. I have even taken the old card off my broken computer to see if that one works but again no luck.

Has anyone got any ideas?

Hello and welcome to PCHelpForum.

We are a great Tech Team who will help you with your issue. Please do not worry.

Could you firstly either disable the old network card and uninstall it,s driver this maybe stopping you from installing the new card.

Although the old adaptor may of just needed a new driver install?

Look forward to your next post.

JB.

Hey Guys,

@Steved, my welcome to PCHF as well.

Was this wireless card in the laptop when the MOBO fried? If so the card could have been affected as well. Do you by any chance have another that you could test with?

Looking forward to your reply,

TTFN

Hey Steve,

Do me a favor, please go to Start, Run, and type in cmd, hit OK. In the command box type in IPCONFIG /all. Post back what shows up. Thanks,

I have done this and it shows the L.A.N and my belkin wireless adapter (I have used this wireless adapter so I can connect in the mean time).
