Default S-Video Problem

I have my computer connected to my TV with an S-vid cable. I can see everything on the TV through the Windows loading screen, once windows is actually running, all i get is a scrolling snowstorm. I've had this system working before, but i recently reformatted. Any advice would be great!

I'm running:
Windows XP Pro
Nvidia geforce 6600 GT
Asus A8n SLI
AMD Athlon 64 3000+

Hello and welcome to PCHelpForum.

Download and install the latest drivers from:Drivers - Download NVIDIA Drivers

Use windows display and NVIDIA control panel advanced options to configure your TV.

The cable works. I can see the image during start-up (hardware detection, bios, etc) After the windows XP loading screen is done it goes to a scrolling black and white fuzz.

Hi-- have you double-checked the refresh-rate settings for the TV out ?
TV's and monitors are quite different --even for those that claim to be monitors.
