No Blue Screen errors ?
Does it Read the CD at all (loading files,etc?) or shuts right down immediately.
Check for Damage (scratched or dirty) CD--?

it shuts down completly, and the cd is working it shuts down, when im loading the files from the cd
the cd is not cratched

So... setup starts, begins copying files, and shuts down.
Is this a fresh installation-- or a re-install?
How old is the PC?
It sounds as if the Drive is having trouble reading the CD itself.

3 years old i supose, its a laptop btw.
and i got this cd from a friend winternals ERD commander.
are u familiar with this?

Not very... Winternals used to be an independent Software maker-- and they were bought out by Microsoft--
one quick question... is this a legal copy?
Because we cannot help you with illegally obtained software.
