Default Heat Problems

Simple problem, my CPU is running at 44-66C and my GPU is at 105C. Should I get fans in all the openings of the case? I have 3 spots, A side intake, a rear intake and an intake on the top of the case. Is there anything else to do to keep my case cool, short of watercooling. So after posting this i went out and bought more fans, i installed them but then realized that my GPU fan doesn't turn. It's does this sort of tiny movement like turning a doorknob 1/8in. It turns a very very small amount and then returns to it's starting point, it's like it wants to turn but can't. The fan is clear of anything that could get in the way.

YIKES! You should definately replace the fan on your GPU!

That said, I'm not sure what temps are ok for AMD cpus. It is a good idea to have fans pointing in near your hardware, and have the exaust fans(pointing out) further away from your hardware. Closer is better, but if you have limited places to put fans, keep the intake close to the hardware. That way your hardware gets cool air. Make sure you have an even amount of airflow going in as you do going out(within reason). If you do not it puts strain on the fans and will reduce their lifespan. Remember your PSU will likely have a fan exausting too.

i have 3 intake, one on top, and 2 on the side. 1 on the side just pushes air into the center, the other is pushing air over the graphics card. i have one on the back that is exhausting air. Are all GPU fans universal? I have an nVidia 7600GS AGP (yea, old system, but it's treating me nicely). What would anyone recommend?

I'm having trouble finding any information regarding fan replacement for your card, or any for that matter. I would take it to your local computer shack, they should be able to get one that fits it just fine.

The manufactorer is XFX, if that helps, and as for anything to do with computers, I don't know any places around where i live, with the exception of Best Buy and Circuit City and they don't have much on the side of computer parts.

Hmm GhastMaster's advice is good. If you do not know any local PC repair shops then could you try taking it to your local Circuit City or Best Buy. Best of luck.

Edit: Where did you buy your computer from? Do you have a warranty or a technical help number to call?
