Can you post the motherboard model & make?
DDR2 comes in three types, PC2-4200, which is 533mhz, PC2-5300 @ 667mhz, and PC2-6400 @ 800mhz
You could get any of these, if you got the 6400 and it was over the max of the motherboard, it would just down clock it to the max speed the motherboard can support (IE if the board supports up to PC2-5300 and you put in 6400, the 6400 ram would be read at 667mhz)

FWiW, I second Zachary's post. Most all memory suppliers have a 'configurator' on their site. A good place to have your computer analyzed and receive advice is: Memory upgrades, flash media, and usb storage at Crucial.com .

Crucial is by no means the only or necessarily the best RAM. They will guarantee their recommendation to work.

What most people on here do is take the result of Crucial's scan and go to another site like Newegg and buy the memory there where it's cheaper
