Then it is possible the mouse pad is broken.Or connections have come loose inside the only option I see is take it to a repair shop.

Try a USB mouse.

Yes I've tried that myself and so did Acer.

Personally, I think that Acer are providing a VERY poor example of "customer service" here. You are literally hours outside of your warranty (with a recognized and known issue) and they have basically cut you off. No disc, no advice and no further support. This is a very poor show from a large (complacent?) laptop supplier. I think a strongly worded letter is in order here. Address it to the Technical Director too!
