Hey Ricey (welcome to PCHF by the way),

At what point does the PC enter hybernation mode, it must enter Windows to do this? What is the last thing you see on your screen before this happens?

Really stuck, everything seems to be in fine

At the back of the Power Supply Unit it has the line and the 0 (on and off switch) - it doesn't do anything.

Notes

New PSU + old gfx card dont work
New PSU + new gfx card dont work

OLD PSU + OLD GFX Card still work.

Oh, that's not your PC going into hibernation ricey, that's a different term used when Windows saves all the applications you have open from memory, and saves it to the HDD, so that you can switch your PC on and have all your applications up and running just like it was before you shut it down. For example, if you were in the middle of a word document, you could start your PC in Hibernation without actually saving your document, it would still be there when you switch your PC on again.

So the actual monitor goes into Standby as soon as you switch your PC on, you may get a "no signal" message appear on the screen, or the monitor light may turn to amber?

Does your PC normally beep when you switch it on? Any graphics card errors will will result in multiple beeps when you turn your PC on. Single beep signifies that your PC has completed it's post test successfully, and no beeps usually mean that either there is a major fault, or the PC speaker isn't even connected.

Finally, have you try alternate VGA connections. Try using the 4 pin connection adaptor that you use with your old Power Supply Unit. It's the first time I've seen a Power Supply Unit that actually comes with those 6 pin sockets, so I'm not entirely sure if these are actually meant for your Graphics Card.

EDIT: Marked as Answered.
