Another thing you could try is taking the power supply apart and pressing nicely shaped bits of blue-tac about 1/8" thick against the black surface of every transistor and chip, making sure NOT to come into contact with any of the legs, however given the tight space involved this might be a bit tricky.
Just a little tip from my hi-fi days which can have great results, as less vibration actually helped it perform better too, not so sure you'd notice the difference through your sound card though, unless you were going to do it on your entire PC (and even then I doubt it, what with all the nasty processing!!!)
Thanks for providing the tip but as this PC is under warranty, we'll advise against it at this time.

Darned good point.
Unfortunately though, being under warrantly is never going to stop the squeal is it!

Thanks alot for all the advice guys. Demonufo - Cheers for your advice but I wont do anything yet as Hengis mentioned it is under warranty. I will try that and break the warranty seal as a last resort if the shop wont do anything about it . They're getting back to me this morning supposedly.
