Smile [Answered]Dumb Question? Partitions on my new pc

Hi - I bought a new pc 2 days ago and did as instructed by the onscreen prompts to create a factory boot disk. I'd never tried to boot back to factory before so I was curious and decided to do it yesterday after id installed a few things so Id know what to do if I really needed to. Now when I was doing this the window said I was creating it on partition 2. What I was wondering was is my old partition (1?) still there or has it been deleted. I think in XP you had to select delete right? I wasnt prompted to do so here with Vista atall. Thanks guys

Windows Vista no longer starts after you install an earlier version of the Windows operating system in a dual-boot configuration You used the disk to set back to factory,it now sounds as if you created a dual boot with vista.when you first boot your pc do you see on bootup screen the choice of 2 vistas menu?

Hi Jelly Bean - no I dont see what you described - when I reboot it just goes through all the way to my password screen. I think this is unrelated but is it normal for a pc to be using 50% physical memory and 12%CPU while just browsing the net?
