I recently put new memory cards into my computer as one of them broke. Everything was working fine, then the computer randomly froze and the screen went to stand by, i rebooted the computer and then about 10 mins later it did the same again. The time it takes to freeze now is getting less all the time. It started whilst i was playing call of duty 4, I have un-installed the game just incase it was due to that, however it keeps freezing.
Sometimes when i turn it on, the fan does really fast then the computer shuts down, then rebotts, and the same happens again, when it does this the numbers 1,3,4 show on the front of the computer. But it does not do this all the time. If anyone could help it would be greatly appriciated.

hi Are you 100% sure the new ram stick is not faulty sounds like it could be or possibly incompatible

Its a dell 5150c, and the computer was doing it with the previous ram sticks anyways. Thanks for helping also you guys are great here.
