My computer don't overheat, I do. I reside in South West Florida, so I don't need any Space Heaters, problem is I like Eye Candy, and I run an old AGP. Ran an ATI X1950 had to get rid of it, great picture, but it was a blow torch. Then I stepped down to a GeForce 7600GS, livable but still abit hot, then I put in a 6200GT, temprature was OK, but the picture was Garbage.

So I'm wondering if a PCI-E machine, would run cooler, with a 7600 because in the picture of it, featured no power dongle, off the back of the card

I'm not talking about the 8 series of cards those I know run hot

It depends on the card. If you are going to buy a PCIe card though, if you want a cool running, but powerful card, look at either the PNY Geforce 8600GT, or the Visiontek ATi Radeon HD 3850. The 7600 runs a bit warm, and is pretty outdated. you can get a better card for the same amount or a little more nowadays

My primary use is Flying in OFF, a patch of CFS3. So it needs 2GB RAM and XP.,
Vista will work, but Vista lacks support for my Trackir, so that's out

If it was only OFF, heat wouldn't be a problem, but that machine is also my stereo, and I post on 3 forums. So 18 hours a day, it's running

My current P4 is running at 3.4Ghtz, so it may be an outdated machine, but I manage

Limit is $1500 but I need to have it built, as I suffer from severe lack of coordination.
