I purchased my computer about 1 year ago and use it primarily for gaming. It's custom built (components chosen by myself) and was put together by a friend who does it as his second job.
Throughout the year I've had issues with the computer randomly restarting - it wasn't until recently when my power supply (Ultra 550w X2 Power Supply / 120mm / Titanium) died that I truly noticed the problem for what it was and potentially could become.
Most of the time it would restart itself while it was idling and I was away from the computer. Eventually I found that I could make this restart occur by attempting to Alt+Tab out of basically any Valve game (Counter Strike 1.6, Source, Half-Life 2, etc.) and that it would NOT occur when Alt+Tabbing out of World of Warcraft.
I've been told that it may be my
RAM causing this problem. I've done the online
RAM tests and they have all come back saying it's fine so I'm at a loss as to how to correct this issue.
Any help that anyone can provide would be wonderful! Thank you!
