Now for the problem-

I just finished playing UT 2K4, exited to the desktop. I went for a cig. When I came back ten minutes later the monitor was blank. I have it set to turn off after 4 hours not ten minutes.
This is what I did so far thanks to a friends check list---
recheck all the connections to your equipment....uplug- then re-plug that stuff in.[molex]..paying attention to the connections. If your running a pata hd...get another "know good" ata cable to use....if you have a multi meter, turn power on and check the power to at each molex connection used for "necessary" equipment. 10% is the limit for droop.....3.3volt/5 volt/12volt are the possible currents from the power supply. you wont be able to check the
mobo connection unless you jumper the p.s.///you will need the literature from the p.s. to know which to jumper. without jumper set up...you cant check the molex connections without it attached to your
mobo....either way, eliminate your first thing...ps...it could be a load problem too, but lets just start with if it is giving power to your important molex connections.
jumper= find the two orange wires on the end of the "ps
mobo connector"...on the side with the locking tab.....including the first slot..jumper the two that are 3-4 on that side[should be black and green wires]....it should turn on then...fan will spin...then check your voltages at the various molex's.
I get one beep 1 second long when the graphics card is out.The light on the
mobo is green when the computer is off and red the second I turn it on.
The battery tested 3.079 V. All the voltages checked out on the power supply.
