OK, so you changed the battery whilst the message was still there, but sometime after changing the CMOS battery, you also also had no video output. Just confused me weather the video problem was intermittent or occurred suddenly.

Either that PC speaker isn't working (unlikely), or that CPU is another component, which is hardly suprising based on the status of those fans. I've also checked your motherboard manual/spec, and there is no auxilery connection for your battery. This means at a minimum, your list of replacement parts includes two fans, a motherboard, and highly likely to include CPU. Ouch!

Ok.. Right well I changed the battery whilst I had no video output, it was only once before the video output dissapeared that I got the Checksum error. The video output did not only dissapear after changing the battery It seemed intermittent at first but soon it did not come on at all (this was before the battery change and it is the same after).

Shame im not paying then

That's what I like to see, get the rents to pay, and whilst they are at it, get them to buy thermaltake armour, Intel Core2Duo e6300 with 2gb Corsair and 160gb SATA 2 hehe.

So what should I do exactly? Buy a new mobo, then see if that works. If not buy a new CPU ?
