I bought my computer which came with 2gigs of ram. When I use dxdiag it only shows up as 1gig of physical ram. I tried troubleshooting and using memory failure detectors and such but nothing seemed to work. I then updated my BIOS, and it worked! I was excited that I had fixed my problem. But after powering down and waiting a day, it went back to 1gig of ram. I have updated my BIOS now three times and all three times the same thing has happened. Please help

hello budley. Your computer should have a maximum RAM Capacity of 4GB, so that is not the problem. Go into the BIOS, and see if it shows up in there.

i'm not too keen with computers. I'm not sure how to go into the BIOS. But i have a feeling its something with that, because when I updated my BIOS it went back to 2gigs. But for some reason is doesn't stay at 2gigs after a period of time.
