Hi guys me again
im having some problems with my pc its full of viruses and adware its slowing the pc down i was wondering about buying a external hdd to save all my needed information on.
And then see if i can buy windows xp media centre edition or should i go with a different os. then format my hdd to remove everything and simply just reinstall the os.
i need to know weather this is a good idea or not cuz i would like to clean my whole system cuz of all the **** i have on it.
Thanks

an external hdd is a good idea for storing data. And Windows XP MCE is a very good version of windows XP, the best In my opinion. how big is your primary harddrive? it might be better to just buy a bigger internal hdd and then reinstall the OS. Then what you can do, is put your old one in an external enclosure and use it as an external harddrive.

I think XP Media Center wasn't released for retail, just on manufactured computers, I remember reading that somewhere, when in doubt though, try ebay.
If your PC is a Dell then they no longer ship cds with them unless you pay extra...go figure... |
