Hey all

got another problem (and with my recent posts you wouldnt know im a tech)

One of my pc is doing random lock ups and freeze so have to reset the pc for it to work...

I already did a ram test (mem test on UBCD 4.11) with no errors on 3 passes
Did a cpu test ( OCCT with only the cpu being monitored for an hour) and it shows stable

the user works on xp + has a VMware running XP also and lock ups occur once or twice a day....
now im wondering what other test i can do...
any ideas??

PC specs:
P4 3.00 GHZ
1 GB ram ddr2
74.5 GB Hard drive
Nvidia GeForce 7300 GT (dual monitor)

Hmm, does it just lock up or does it give any kinda error/bsod?

First thing I'd try is making sure everything (inc drivers) is up to date.

no messages, just plain lock up... the mouse freezes and nothing responds...not even the lights on the keyboard

ill check the driver situation and keep it posted

We had solved the problem by changing the PSU and doing a dust cleanup. Since we'd been using a PCI video card with a virtual machine and two screens, it needed a bit more juice.
