My last problem turned out to be a blown power supply unit
my latest is the USB ports. I am running on Windows XP I have a feeling that the USB at the front has been unplugged from the motherboard (asus kv8) and I have no idea how to get the thing plugged back in.
The ones on the back of the tower work as my MP3 lights up when I plug it in but I can't get it to sync with Windows Media Player.
I have installed all software without luck.
I can't get my wireless dongel to work or my memory stick as nothing shows in removable devices in the My Computor menu so I can't access them.
So I dont know what to do. I have checked the Bios setting and don't know where to look and I have checked the device management but can't even find USB there.

Hi fresh_start,

It does sound like the front usb connections are not plugged in, or correctly connected to the motherboard. You'll need to open the PC and find where these cables are free, and then connect them to the motherboard. Both the connectors and the sockets are normally blue. The sockets on the ASUS board can be found on the edge of the board at the bottom of your case.

EDIT: Marked as Answered.
