Default DMI TV settings lost

Hi, Sent my laptop away for repair a while ago, and i used to be able to connect to the TV. I forgot about setting up the TV out setting on the BIOS, But when i went to change it, the option for PAL SCART wasn't there. A Friend said...

In the DMI you can find different information. As far as I know the 6 digit of the DMI shows the Destination Default TV Type. If this digit was changed or is not right the PAL or NTSC settings cannot be enabled.

My Laptop Is a toshiba Qosmio F30 with Windows XP Media Centre Edition SP2

I have no idea what to do, and would like to get it sorted.

Cheers for any replies in advance

I'm assuming the laptop has a TV in/out port of some type, and thus has a built-in TV Tuner, have you tried going to the Toshiba site and downloading the drivers for it?

I am just downloading a bios update... to see if that will cure it. The port on the laptop is called a "D-Video" Port. Will let you know what happens when i update the bios.
Thanks for you reply bud,
Would like to get this sorted by xmas as am planning to use the TV as a screen to have a web chat with some relatives on the other side of the world!

Thanks again
