Nice one Pop.

Looks good, everything there speaks of qualiy, great power suppy, great motherboard, I absolutely love ASUS are the best around. The cables are nice and tidy and kept out of the way for the most part.

One question, the side panel you took off, does it have any vents at the bottom where the graphics card is situated? And is that a radiator the PC is in front of? I'm a little concerned with overheating there.

Hi thanks for the reply,

I think you can just about see on the side panel that i have pulled off there is a fan which provides some ventilation to the centre of the p.c. Also on the front at the lower base below all the drives is another fan that blows in cool air which should hit the graphics card area.

The fan on the side has very dodgy wiring and if the wire moves out of place then the fans front and side lose power and stop. Since i had a good fiddle in there the other day, the fans are working and my p.c boots up first time every time and my frames per second output is always 2200 ish. Still though i do have issues with gaming, its still not right.

Is 2200 fps about right for a 8800 GTX 768mb graphics card?

Thanks

Where are the Two 6-pin PCI Express supplementary power connectors -or- Four 4-pin Molex supplementary power connectors, cant see them in the picture

What is the Watt of the PSU?

Look this over
8800GTX 768MB vs. 8800GTS 512MB

From what I am reading, those fps are way too high for the card normally, you sure its not overclocked?

Hi

Im really not sure about all that 4-pin and 6-pin stuff, sorry.

I have only just had a new power unit put in the other day to try and cure some of the problems, its a 600Watt OCZ .

How do you find out what fps you are getting in game on COD4, the readouts i have got so far are just when the computer is doing nothing

Thanks

I think that card comes with SLI connctors........not having the 6-pin molex connector

Most modern action games, including popular first person shooters such as Halo 3, run around 30 frames a second, while others, such as Call of Duty 4, run at 60 frames a second. The framerate within most games, particularly PC games, will depend upon what is currently happening in the game in the way of CPU occupying.
One single GeForce 8800 GTX has been reported to play F.E.A.R. at up to 386 fps (at a low resolution)
I dont know how to tell you how to get your fps while in a game, not my area of expertise

Hi

Can you think why when i boot up sometimes and i do the stability test the F.P.S will be at around the 1500 mark but if i power down and reboot and test it again i will get around the 2200 mark, also when it does manage to run at this speed there is a quiet high pitch noise coming from the computer,

Thanks
