Default [Answered] Constant stop errors

Hello, My brother's Medion desktop PC running Win XPsp2 is always crashing. When you turn it on it will show a blue screen with an error of
IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL and sometimes its
SPECIAL_POOL_DETECTED_MEMORY_CORRUPTION.

If you restart it, sometimes it will boot but after about 5 or 10 minutes it will show 1 of the error messages.
It even does it in msconfig diagnostic startup and also in safe mode.
I ran AVG, Spybot and some other antivirus' and spyware removers and they found nothing.
I ran a Windows XP repair and it ran good for about 2 Hours, but then the same thing start to happen.
Thanks in advance.

Hello jplink, welcome to PCHF.

Judging by those two BSOD's, it narrows the problem down to either a faulty device driver or faulty memory. If you would like to narrow down the problem further, please can you follow the BSOD's link on my signature, and post a dump/log of these events back here for analysis.

I’m Sorry it took so long for me to respond I have been very busy the past few days.
I was not able to do as you said and post a log because the PC has become so bad It will not even boot to windows. It will give the blue error screen or just show a black screen now.
I was able to try the RAM in a another PC and it did not work so the memory is obviously bad,

The strange thing is that I also tried the good RAM from the other PC in the Medion and the Medion still would not boot.
Maybe its the OS that’s messed up from having the bad RAM. This weekend I will reinstall WinXP and try to boot it with good RAM .
If it does not work the mobo or power supply must also be bad.
Thanks again for your help

No prob's jplink, disk/file corruption can easily be caused by faulty RAM like you said. And if your getting a wide range of different stop messages, this can also be an indication. Other hardware or software/drivers will normally result in one maybe even two different messages.

If you would like to test the memory out for sure and you have a spare floppy disk and floppy drive, or a CD-Writer using Nero, you can download this:

- If you have a floppy drive and a spare floppy disk, please download: http://www.memtest86.com/memt32.zip

- If not, please download, unzip and use nero to burn this image: http://www.memtest86.com/memtest86-3.2.iso.zip

EDIT: Marked as Answered.
