Hi guys,

I have recently purchased a HP Compaq dx2250 microtower which is a pretty decent spec with a amd athlon 64 5000+ x2 processor and 2 gig of ram but the graphics is a built in ati xpress 1150 chip and my existing radeon 9800 pro wont fit on this board. Does anyone know what best graphics cards there are available at a reasonable price that will fit this board?

Any video adapter should work as long as you are using the proper bus type. There are 3 different types of bus types that a video adapter can be connected.
1.PCI
2. AGP
3. PCI Express




Now open your case and look and see what you have.

well it doesnt even have an AGP slot. Whats a good PCI Express? I dont really know much about graphics cards other than the built in card on this machine doesnt perform to well.

It does. I looked it up, and came up with a few which i think should be good.

here is one XFX Geforce 7600GT PCIe16x
and another Sapphire ATi Radeon X1950GT PCIe16x
and one more PNY Technologies Geforce 8600GT PCIe16x

Any one of these would complement your computer and would work very well.

EDIT> I just realized you need a new psu. a 250watt one that you have wont cut it. this is a good one, at a great price.
