Red post from Scorpios about Winxp only recognizing 130gb of hd. Looked at mine and only have 130 of 160 gb, but transfer files and such from old computer. If I run SATA driver download now will it work or will i have to reformat and start from scratch?

Hi Kendu, welcome to PCHF.

Forgive me, but I re-read that post a few times, do you mean the msnv-939 the MachSpeed motherboard? If so and your drive was formatted as 130gb before the BIOS update, then you will need to resize your partition. The only software I'm aware of that can resize an active partition without losing data is Acronis Disk Director, but it comes with a price tag!

EDIT: Marked as Answered.
