Default [Answered] Laptop Power Connection problem

Hello, I have a relatively old Toshiba Satelite 2400, it runs perfectly except for the power connection jack at the back is really wobly and the power lead may come out at free will.

Is their anyway I can tighten something inside to make it hold itself in?

Thankyou,

Elliot.

Hi Elliot,

I would suggest taking the laptop in for repair. In many cases, a now socket can be soldered onboard. The sockets themselves only cost between $1 - $2. Preferably return to manufacturer, as many repair shop's will do the same and charge you a fee on top of their services.

I really wouldn't mess around with the socket further, as we do not know how the socket is damaged, and will probably make things worse.

Try this: Toshiba Support - Repair Center

Hope this helps.
