hiya... was reading one of the tutorials for speedin up xp and saw the part about turning off unecessary hardware and ports etc... i was wanting to turn off the 2 usb ports on the front of my pc because the kids have broken em and they dont work any more... trouble is when i go into device manager i dont know which ports are the front and which ones are the rear ones ( they work fine) any ideas?? thanks in advance
never tried it to be honest...i was tryin to build up the courage to add some RAM some time this week... lol... but if its easy enough i may give it a go..
Well, it should be relatively simple. A case of following the cables from the USB ports on the front, down to the place on the motherboard where they plug in. Obviously only un-plug it if it can be un-plugged :P
