Hi.

I'm having trouble with the USB ports on my PC. All of a sudden any mass storage devices/USB keys I have no longer work but I'm ok with other devices. It says something like "USB Device not recognised - one or more of the USB devices have malfunctioned and Windows does not recognise it". These are all plug and play devices that have always worked before.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi welcome to PCHF If the usb devices your refering to work in another PC try a system restore to a time before you had the problem.

if that won't work go into device manager is there any question marks on the usb devices? you try uninstall them and reboot the pc windows will reinstall them this may work to

Hi. Unfortunately neither have worked. Restored settings to a time when it was working fine but still saying devices not recognised. They're not coming up with a question mark in device manager either. In which case, do oyu think it is a hardware problem? Just strange that other devices are working.
