Default [Answered] Quick answer needed RE:CPU

Hi all,

Just about to order some components for a new build and the website has sold out of AMD4200+, but they DO have the exact same processor except its "energy efficient".

Is this not as good as the normal one, is it worth me waiting for the standard processor to come back into stock...

A quick answer would be much appreciated,

Thanks

Barnetti

There's absolutely nothing wrong with energy efficient processors barnetti. IMHO, these are better in many ways. Less power consumption is an obvious advantage. Your CPU uses even less power when not being used. Less Power = a cooler CPU. Cooler CPU = slower fan speed. Slower fan speed = less noise. All advantages, and no performance loss as far as I can tell, or at least, nothing you will notice!

EDIT: Marked as answered.
