Welcome to the PCHF shikamaru

Why do you need to format the MBR? I've never heard of anyone needing to.
playing with the MBR is extremely dangerous

GaRHaR , you were no help at all , and i found your post condescending .
You should probably try to help people rather than question them aimlessly
Wouldnt you agree?

well , my apologies then , however it wasnt very helpful , and had I bothered to justify my actions concerning the health of my computer , I wouldnt have had a solution for days , would of went something like this , :

his post , then my explanation , then some kinda of alternative route or to check some problem i knew it wasnt , then an explanation for that , then mayba a repeat followed by the information i needed . 4-7 days no doubt .

didnt mean to ruffel no feathers , but i really dont think anyone looking to wipe thier mbr , would do so with knowing what an mbr is ? I dont know just me i guess , but your probably right , there are people with computers who dont know what thier doing , so thanks for the condom but I built my computer myself and have been doing so since i was around 8 , thats ruffly 18 years of exp.
